Located on the west bank of the Han River, the Port Authority Tower is a singular opportunity to create a signature Building.
Completing a trilogy of tall buildings along the waterfront, including the Novotel Hotel and the city Administration Tower, the 24-floor tower is conceived as two distinct shafts, the main shaft addressing the river is clad in glass, wrapped with deep sunscreens, and contains the office floor plates.
The secondary shaft, which contains vertical circulation and core facilities, is wrapped in a sleek metal skin punctuated with slim vertical slots.
The louvred facade, which gently arcs across the full height of the tower, is a response to the curved facade of the City Administration Tower and a reference to the traditional sailing ships that once worked the Han River
